In October of 2025, I turned in my badge and placed a bet on myself.

Ten years in law enforcement. A steady six figure salary. A pension sitting at the end of the tunnel like a carrot. But I knew for a long time there was something else out there for me.

So I walked away.

No safety net, 3 kids at home, and a decision that honestly scared the heck out of me. But at the same time, I felt so much peace about the decision.

Here's what my days look like now.

I run The Koerner Office, one of the best entrepreneurial communities on the internet. 900+ people in there building real businesses and trying to escape the rat race themselves.

I run the AMAs, produce the podcast, and keep the engine running alongside Chris and the team.

I consult on AI for companies that know they're behind but have no idea where to start. This includes construction firms, local shops, and other entrepreneurs with large platforms who don't know how to tie everything together.

And on the side of all that, I own some self-storage, write two newsletters (Sunday Doughnuts and OC Buzz), and post WAY too much on X.

None of this came from an Ivy League degree or a golden network. It came from years of compounding from all the shiny object chasing I've done. It came from showing up every single day, trying stuff, breaking stuff, and sharing what I learned out loud.

I genuinely believe most people are one weird idea and a little bit of courage away from a completely different life.

I'm a dad to two wild little girls and a baby boy, married to a woman I'm thankful for every day. My head's in the clouds while her feet are on the ground. Everything I build is for them.
