About Me & The Blog

It’s interesting the things that come to mind when I try and describe myself on a website meant to capture who I am and all that I’m working on. I’m sure I’ll edit this a million times by the time you get to read it, but keeping in theme with the idea of Ready, Fire, Aim, I present to you my blog.

This “About Me” is if we actually sat down and had a cup of coffee, not just an elevator ride.

I’m a husband, girl dad x2 and entrepreneur on a mission to change the trajectory of the lives of my family and share every little ounce of value I can along the way.

By day, I work as a police officer, but when that shift ends, the side hustle begins. With my business partner, i've founded and run an investment group focused on commercial self storage facilities and residential homes. Chronos Capital

Through this venture we’ve started other companies consisting of a virtual assistant hiring agency, bookkeeping and a private lending group. We currently have a team of incredible VAs that work IN our business so that we can work ON it. The E-Myth Reference. As Dan Martell so eloquently puts it

If you don’t have an assistant, you are the assistant.

(Dan Martell) Buy Back Your Time

In full transparency (you will never receive anything less), we’re not in the “green” yet with these businesses. We’ve made money, but that money goes right back in to fuel the machine. Payroll, investments, software, etc. It’s a sweaty start up and we run lean. Because we have to.

Aside from the businesses and shiny objects I like to chase, I have a passion to share these experiences however I can. In this case, through the written word. It’s one part documentation of the process, one part providing value and one part therapeutic exercise to flesh out the swirling ideas. These articles are as much influenced by the ups and downs of life, family, fitness, finance, Faith and personal development as it is by business.

Don’t be mistaken, this content isn’t for everyone, even with the wide range of topics I cover.

This blog is only for those that truly have the burning desire to build something BIG. If you are satisfied with mediocre, I’m not writing to you.

This blog is for those that can’t sleep at night because their mind is spinning with thoughts of how they can GROW MORE and BE BETTER. If you’re settled with stagnation, this isn’t for you.

This blog is for those that are IN THE TRENCHES, grinding daily to build a different life. If you have no desire to break those chains and live on a different level from the rest, there’s more fitting blogs out there for you.

If you resonate with any or all of that, YOU are my kind of people. Let’s do this thing!

What You’ll Receive:

These articles are jam packed with the lessons, experiences, tips, tricks, hacks, failures, stories and questions that encompass the journey. Most come from personal experiences, but some come from experiences of others that have been kind enough to share.

The difference of this blog is that I’m not out of the trenches yet, nor do I pretend to be. I am still very much IN. THE. GRIND…right there with you, learning to put one foot in front of the other.

It’s raw, unfiltered and full of uncontrolled imperfection… as is life.

Too often we want it all to come out perfect and JUST as planned. And because of that, we end up thinking through it for far too long and not creating anything. That’s the bigger tragedy. So bear with me. Let’s both create and get better together here.

Article Style:

Personally, I write like I talk. Theres nothing fancy about it.

I also write like I want to read; short to medium length articles.

I LOVE reading, but not long emails. Those get skipped most of the time. I save that kind of reading for physical books.

As often as I can, I’ll post the reading time on the top of the email so that you can gauge whether you want to read it now or later… or skip it all together. My feelings wont be hurt.

Mission:

I made the decision long ago to REFUSE to settle with middle class and mediocre. I believe that we are all meant for so much more.

That includes you.

You my friend were put on this earth to do GREAT things.

I have seen behind the curtain and I know what’s possible. And once you see the possibilities, you can’t unsee them. I have no other alternative than to be obsessed with this pursuit and to do nothing less than extraordinary things.

I don’t have it all figured out… and I hope I never will. It’s the absence of all the answers that keeps us hungry for more. Scrubs reference IYKYK

Each and everyday the objective is to consciously choose to do the work that others DON’T, so that we will accomplish things that others WON’T.

In a world of creators that either pretend to have it figured out OR are so far out of the trenches that that don’t remember, I aim to report to you LIVE on the scene of the “hustle”.

We are IN. THE. GRIND. Relentlessly pursuing the highest possible outcomes in life, until they become a present tense reality.

Quotes that capture the entirety of this message:

The cowards never started, and the weak died along the way - that leaves us.

Phil Knight

The cave you fear to enter, holds the treasure you seek.

(Joseph Campbell)

Great people have a vision of their lives that they practice emulating each and every day.

Michael Gerber

I believe it's true that the difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next.

Michael Gerber

Remarkable people are unremarkable. If you want to be great, be good consistently.

Eve Arnold

I look forward to standing along side of you as we go to war to achieve what few have dreamed of and even fewer have actually fought for.

If you’re reading this right now, you’re a trend setter and an OG follower. I appreciate you more than you know. Please email me with anything that comes to mind. I respond to everyone personally.

How To Start A Movement

One last thing I’ll leave you with.

If you’re not sure where to start. If you have analysis paralysis and think that you have to figure it all out first, read this by article by Derek Sivers it changed my perspective, maybe it can change yours.
