AI Isn't Taking Jobs. People Using AI Are
Super interesting conversation in the 24hr fitness sauna just now.
It’s relevant, trust me.
Guy 1:
“How’s work going? AI gettin you as well?”
Guy 2:
“Man AI ain’t got me. I can bid on jobs better than AI. I’m not trippin.”
Guy 1:
“They’re saying it’s gonna take away 80% of the jobs in the next few years.”
Guy 2:
“Good thing I know electrical”

Ok so this was a real convo I was right next to. It took every ounce for me to keep my mouth shut.
Guy 1 also had 5150 tattooed on him, so I knew better…
The point here is that these conversations are the reality of MOST people outside of this wild bubble here.
And I genuinely don’t know if AI will take their jobs, but one thing is for sure— the people that are using their existing skills + AI will take the jobs of those who aren’t.
Same could be said about those using the internet and those not. It’s the evolution of tech.
It’s also a scarcity mindset. Like AI is TAKING from them. As opposed to what it really is, a tool to be even better and more efficient.
Apparently I need to sauna more often. These conversations were gold.
