Are Twitter handles the new phone number?
Maybe it’s just the Twitter bubble I’m in but I just had a really interesting experience over the last weekend.
Met up with a bunch of highly successful founders from @Tribefounders…
…and yes, I snuck in through the back entrance and pretended to be a waiter to gain access. But then once I was in, I took off the disguise and blended right in.
After gaining access and no one questioning my back story, great conversations began to happen.
And THIS is the interesting part of the story— most exchanges of information weren’t phone numbers, they were Twitter handles. Wild.
First time that the Twitter handle out ranked the phone number in the info exchange.
Was that an isolated event or is that becoming more common?
