Do Things That Aren’t Scalable
“Do things that aren’t scalable”
Real life example, real life lesson:
We’re adding marketing to an exciting lawn care business.
We’re at phase 1 right now and I’m already thinking about how to handle the volume of leads. What software to upgrade to, who to hire for the call center, etc.
Someone way more experienced and smarter than me, heard me out then said:
“Do things that aren’t scalable”
And he’s right.
In the early stages of a business sometimes you need to do things that don’t scale
It’s an experiment. It might not even work.
Build rough SOPs and processes
As it starts to increase, THEN worry about the volume.
