Hold On To That Unicorn

“Hold on to that unicorn”

[Body]

I just overheard a story of a man passing away at 60 years old.

The story was told by a co worker of the man. The coworker in his early 30s.

The man was a sales rep. He had a Saturday sales call, came home, went to bed and had a heart attack while sleeping…

Did he love what he did? I don’t know. But he literally worked until the day he died.

The way I see it is you have two choices:

  1. You can play the “one day I’ll…” game and roll the dice that “one day” will come.

OR

  1. You LIVE the life you want to NOW however you can. You chase passions, you take the trips maybe a little out of reach, you provide your kids with experiences they never had. You iterate, fail, pivot and prevail…

You SHOOT FOR THE MOON; because even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.

Now the caveat here is that you LOVE the work you do. And if you are blessed enough to find that AND be able to earn a great living from it, hold onto that unicorn.
