In-person events are powerful. Don’t overlook them.
I work from home now and MOST of my communication with people is virtually.
I dont mind it and at times I prefer it, but there is something about sitting down IRL with a friend and letting the conversation flow.
I had breakfast to day with a buddy of mine from out of town and it was glorious.
With scheduled calls there's an agenda. In person, its just about being present and connecting.
Yes, its WAY easier to have a phone call or google meet, but as often as you can, try and meet up in person.
This is why I think that even with the most incredible tech advancements of the century happening RIGHT NOW, there will be an equally strong push for IN PERSON events
Meet ups trainings local business groups etc.
This is also why local newsletters are genuinely underrated.
Its the overlap of the digital and physical world.
You bring people in with your digital content and then keep them there as you talk about real things happening locally that they can ACTIVELY participate in.
In person events are powerful. Do not overlook the opportunities with those.
And if you have the opportunity, you definitely need to hang with @ItsAlexStarr.
