My hat was recognized in public... i'll explain
I took my daughter to jiu jitsu last night and as I sat down, a mom that has a kid in the class looked over at me and then looked at my hat. it says "you can just do things" on it
She looks back an me and says "is your hat from that podcast?"
I knew what she was talking about, but I didnt want to assume anything.
It's what Chris Koerner says on The Koerner Office and I really dont hear many other people saying it... so it would be safe to assume thats what she was talking about.
With a smile, I asked her "what podcast?"
She replies-- You know, the koerner office.
My assumptions were correct. I started laughing and responded:
"I'm one of the producers of the podcast"
She LIT UP!
She immediately launches into how much she loves the podcast, how much she loves @mhp_guy and his ideas. She starts pouring out her dreams, her goals, her aspirations, her ideas and everything that shes working on.
We nerded out on AI and podcast episodes for the next 30 min.
It might have been one of THE coolest experiences ive had in a while.
But this isnt just an isolated experience. We get comments like this all the time.
The way people are changing their lives through this content is MIND BLOWING.
The crazy part is that each and every one of these listeners/ viewers had it in them the entire time, it was just a matter of SEEING whats possible and taking action on it.
We all need some kind of catalyst and Chris has been an INCREDIBLE one for so many!
It's an amazing thing when passion overlaps with impact. It's what drew me to TKO in the first place and what makes this mission so rewarding.
It's easier said than done, BUT, if you can find work that you are proud of and passionate about AND for it to have some kind of external impact on someone or something other than yourself, you've found the sweet spot.
