“Inspect what you expect"
I have a good buddy whose attention to detail is out of this world.
Partly nature, partly nurture.
He once told me a story that his mom would purposely leave random items on the ground and just wait to see how long it’d take for one of her kids to pick it up.
While that’s super passive aggressive, it worked on him. He’s extremely attentive now.
More than anything, it’s training the skill of awareness. It’s SO easy to walk through life and not remember how we got from point A to point B.
Maybe you’re not super attentive, maybe this kind of thing doesn’t bother you, but at the very least, it’s important to “open your eyes” to what’s going on.
