An entrepreneur's recipe for sweet success

This is super important.
Maybe more important than 90% of the things I’ve ever talked about.

This is future trajectory changing...
Paradigm shifting...
Mind blowing...

(I’m really building this up here, huh?)

Doing this one thing could in fact change your life forever…

I want you to think about what your perfect day looks like.

Down to the food you eat and the drinks you drink and who you share those with.

From the second you wake up, to the second you go to bed, think about that day.

Think about the perfect work that you would want to be doing (or lack there of)

Think about the things you’d want to do with your family or the meals that you cook, the workouts you have, the place where you live, all of it.

Then— write it down. That’s the next very important part. You can’t just think it. I want you to see it.

Put it into words, in chronological order.

Walk yourself through the timeline of the day from start to finish so that you can see it all laid out.

Last thing, I want you to save that timeline in a place that’s easy to access.

If you want to print it out, go for it. I personally have mine pinned as a note in my phone so that it’s always near the top. If you don’t want to do this, no one is going to force you. But be honest with yourself— do you really have an image in your mind’s eye of what that day looks like for you?

It’s like starting on a road trip and you’re the driver and your passenger is like “where are we going?” And you’re like “I don’t know…”

BUT KEVIN, WHAT I WANT ISN'T OBTAINABLE!

Well not with that attitude it’s not!

I say all this because I’m living proof that the perfect day you design in your head will eventually take shape.

Without knowing it, my course has been altered through a series of decisions I’ve made and opportunities that have presented themselves where I am now doing MANY of the things that I once wrote down as a perfect day.

There are plenty of things still not there, but we’re getting closer.

The CRAZY thing here is that I didn’t just get an influx of money and all of a sudden was able to make these things happen. In fact I took a HUGE leap of faith, out of security, a steady paycheck, benefits and retirement.

Some might call that a net negative, but I know that it’s actually me closer to my perfect day than ever before.

This exercise isn’t for me. It’s for you. Actually, no— it’s for future you. Don’t do this for present you, do this for FUTURE you. Then thank future me later 😉

If you want someone to share what you wrote down with, I’d love to hear it.

If you want to hear mine, I shared it on a podcast a while back here starting at about 5:12 in the episode...

🍩 BITE 1
— Just Do It

But I’m not ready — just do it
But I don’t have it all figured out — just do it
What if I fail — just do it
I need help — just do it
But it’s really difficult — just do it
I’m scared of wasting my time — just do it
I’m scared of what others will think — just do it

There will ALWAYS be excuses to not do something. Ordinary people use those everyday.

You’re not ordinary though.
You were meant for greatness.
Just do it.

This one story that I read in high school has stuck with me for the last 20 years

It has literally changed my life and the way I think.

I’m not going to quote it, that’s been done already.

I’ll tell it as I recall it and as it relates to the world you and I live in today…
