Not Everyone Can Read Your Boundaries
A lesson about signs and life:
My oldest put a sign on her room that said keep out.
Specifically directed at her little sister.
Of course little sis goes into the room and older sis flips.
She comes running downstairs and yells that she had a sign up and little sis STILL came in.
My wife and I explain that as clear as the sign was, her little sister can’t read yet. So it didn't really do any good...
The lesson here is:
You will put “signs up” in your life for other people.
But they are meaningless if those people just “can’t read”.
