OUR JOB is to stay in the fight and put one foot in front of the other
The cost of not starting:
When you start something, you don’t always know what direction it’s going to go.
And you don’t need to know.
The key is that you STARTED something and that you put energy into it over time.
Only when you you’ve walked down that road a bit, can you really look back and see how each part of your journey makes sense.
But again, the key to THAT is that you are actually walking down the road to begin with, not just standing still.
When I started my newsletter almost 4 years ago, I would have never predicted the direction it would have gone.
It started with the desire to share as much value about the entrepreneur ventures I was involved in as I could.
The goal being to share the lessons as I’m learning them so that readers would skip the line.
I feel the same way about my posting on twitter or the law enforcement career that I left last year.
When we start something, we want and need it to evolve as WE personally evolve.
This applies to everything that you do and intend to get better with.
Your business
Your fitness
Your relationships
Your skillsets
Where we start BETTER NOT be where we finish… or else something went wrong along the way.
But here’s the thing, we can talk about this stuff all day and acknowledge how important it is to start something and keep doing it and to be ok with it evolving and changing…
We can all nod our heads in agreement with that… that’s easy… The hard part is doing it.
The hard part is to START and then the next hard part is to KEEP GOING….
And then the hard part after that is to come to grips with things changing in ways that you don’t expect them to.
But that my friend, is growth. That is the way it’s supposed to be.
We don’t need or get to know all the answers.
OUR JOB is to stay in the fight and put one foot in front of the other— trusting that you CAN and WILL figure it out along the way.
