Pausing Is A Choice

Twitter Post

I’m someone with more ideas and projects swirling at the same time than I can count, and I am definitely guilty of falling short of what I’m about to say…

The fact is none of the “business” you have is going to stop.

Especially being a CEO / founder / business owner, it might feel like if you are not personally moving the needle forward, then the needle is not going to move forward.

That’s another conversation to be had about scaling, delegating and working ON not in… but the reality is that you’re going to be heavily involved and feel like you can’t ever turn it off.

Whether you like it or not, you’re going to be IN your business most of the time.

Here’s the harsh truth, turning it off is a choice.

When you get home, your kids don’t ask you how much money is in the bank account, or what deals did you close today, they just want to spend time with you.

The busyness won’t ever stop, nor do you want to stop, because you love what you do. For the most part.

But you also need to put a PAUSE on it and be with the people that you were doing it for.

Nothing s going to pause it for you. The work isn’t going to stop. The needle will always have to be moved.

Pausing is a choice, and one that you need to be conscious and intentional about.
