In the Arena

Podcast · Oct 28, 2026

I wrote the script for this one while running 4 miles yesterday... just talking into my phone at a 7:29-ish pace, making it up on the spot. Which got me thinking about how many of us won't start something until we can see the finish line. So this one's about doing hard things before you know how they end, Teddy Roosevelt's Man in the Arena, why Thomas Edison was a little delusional (in a good way), and getting stronger one rep at a time. Run around the block, take a cold shower, read 10 pages... just take the first step!
