You Don't Need to 'Make It' Before You Share It

Podcast · Sep 04, 2026

If you're a beginner right now — building a business, making content, starting anything — you are in the best possible position to teach. Not next year. Not once you've "made it." Now.

In this one I walk through the teaching loop (grind, make it, get asked "how did you do that?", start teaching, repeat), the "made it" problem that makes people with 200k followers weirdly hard to relate to, and why the person with 655 followers is actually the most relatable person in the room. Then I get honest about the trap inside the loop — if all you ever teach is how to grow, you just attract people who want to grow — and the three boring steps I'm betting on to find something that's actually mine: get the reps in, actually listen, and let the product show itself.

I'm not saying any of this from the top of the mountain. I turned in my badge less than a year ago. I'm a couple switchbacks ahead of some of you and way behind a lot of others. That's the whole point.

Share your stuff now. You won't regret it.
