Progress over Perfection
Working from home now, there is ALWAYS work to be done.
It never stops.
The pro here is that I get to work on what I want, when I want…
the con is that its’s really hard to shut it off… like REALLY HARD.
This might be the first time in my life that I have truly enjoyed the work that I do and can’t stop thinking about it.
But here’s the caveat— I have a family that loves me and wants my attention.
It makes me sad to think of all the times that my kids haven’t talked to me or told me something because my head was in my phone.
I don't really have a solution for that yet, but one thing that I’m doing more often is if I need to handle something and everyone is home and its suppose to be family time, I step out of the room for a few minutes so that I can handle the thing quickly and quietly and then go back and reengage.
This doesn't always work out, but it’s a start.
And again, not sure if this is the best solution, but we will eventually get there.
