Success Isn’t the Whole Story
Not all the entrepreneurs I talk to have heart warming stories.
Some are tough lessons that they've learned and now have scars to share.
I had one of those convos the other day.
He was 23 yo, down on luck
Moved to AZ for a better life
But that didnt work out so he moved back home with parents
He had the entrepreneur fire in him early on, but nothing worked.
He took a job with a custom apparel company
This opened the door for him to start building websites for people
He started taking on more clients and doing more things and then connecting with affiliates and making good money
Then he went viral and started making TONS of money... like TONS
Awesome right? Yes... but also no
He was spending $40k/ mo on vacations. Dating around. Living "the rich life".
But he felt empty and burned out.
No wife, no kids, no one to share any of it with.
Talking to him you could hear how proud he was of the thing that he's done, but he still felt like something was missing.
Look-- I want to "make it" as much as anyone. Spending $40k on even one vacation would be awesome to have the resources to do...
But it's stories like these that remind me WHY IM BUILDING ANY OF THIS to begin with.
It's not for the personal accolades
It's not for the VIP services or the private jets or the 40k vacations
It's to have the freedom to spend as much TIME with the people that matter most
Money helps with that, but its not everything.
