This Really Is The Secret To Success

Twitter Post

you don't have to outrun

Stop for a second.

Imagine the dream that you want.

Maybe it's money

Maybe it's time freedom

Maybe it's doing the thing you love

Maybe its a 6 pack

There are MANY variables involved in accomplishing these things. I'm drastically oversimplifying here but there's one variable that I believe stands out in the crowd of all the other variables.

Staying in the fight.

As simple as that. It's not easy, but it is simple.

Here's the origin of this post:

In my past life I ran several CrossFit gyms out here in CA. I saw this both in my clients as well as the athletes I'd compete against--

The best athletes were the ones that just stuck with it.

I'd see incredible athletes come and go, but they wouldn't last. They lost interest or got hurt or just life happened and they stopped training as hard The ones that lasted and ultimately won out were the ones that just stayed consistent.

This is the same for sports like jiu jitsu. I know a world champion black belt competitor who is in his mid 60s.

He didn't win the genetic lottery, he's just been training for decades and he STUCK WITH IT.

Same can be said in business, or ANY kind of skill acquisition... or even growing a mustache ;)

The longer you commit to doing the thing, getting the reps in, staying in the fight and getting back up when you get knocked down- -

The more chance of success you'll be giving yourself.

Remember, you don't have to outrun a bear, you just need to outrun the other guy.
