To AI Consultants: It’s Not About the Tools—It’s About Listening

Twitter Post

I might have found an ULTRA niche AI business that you could run from home and it only has to do with your ability to communicate.

I recently met up with a client and their team (in person) to walk them through some specific AI uses cases.

The meeting did NOT go as planned.

I went in thinking we would get super tactical and I'd help them build out a handful of projects live.

Instead--

90% of the time was spent in 2 ways:

  1. Listening to them explain the tasks that are taking up the most time

  2. Showing them how to talk to AI to ask and/or tell it what they need done.

number 2 was what I didn't expect honestly.

They truly just didn’t know how to talk to it.

They would tell me something they needed or a problem they were having and I'd basically translate it into a prompt for them to give Claude.

This was all done via voice to text.

This got me thinking

"Dang, what a great low lift, valuable business model"

You become the AI whisperer.

And while there's definitely some silliness to this business idea, there's truth to it.

It is a genuine SKILL to be able to take the information given to you or the ideas you have and translate those into a way to communicate with AI.

AI consultants out there-- Its not about the tools. Its about LISTENING and then helping THEM communicate that idea appropriately back to AI to ultimately solve their problems.
