Treat The Patient, Not The Monitor
Been in the hospital these past couple days with my little man being born.
First off, there’s gotta be a better sleeping arrangement for dads. These “couches” are gnarly.
Besides that, there’s been some great quotes from nurses I’ve tried to remember.
My personal favorite:
“Don’t treat the monitor, treat the patient.”
This is true in the medical field, but it’s also true in business.
It’s so easy to be stat focused. Especially these days with every single number at our finger tips.
Pay attention to the stats, but don’t let those steer the car.
