What are you capable of...
You don’t know what you’re capable of until you’ve pushed past what you THOUGHT you were capable of.
With everything there’s 3 sides to every coin—
On one side, you need to hone in on what the biggest needle movers are. You need to stay with something long enough to know whether it’s worth more time.
It’s easy to start stuff, for it to get hard and then immediately start something else.
Starting hard things isn’t hard. STAYING with them is.
THE OTHER side of the coin is also true and important.
Every thing you do, every rabbit you chase, every pivot you make, every industry you dip your feet in— puts a tool on your tool belt and helps you develop the skill set you can one day pull from.
You don’t know what that life changing opportunity is until you tried enough things to be able to SPOT an opportunity when it comes up.
The ONLY way to get good at that is just by doing more things.
Both sides are true and both sides are important…
…and finding that balance between “staying in the hard” long enough to know AND trying enough things to figure out what’s worth your time; is an ever moving target.
And furthermore, the only way to find that balance is by DOING THINGS.
Action begets action.
Happy Tuesday 🚀
