You dont know until you know and the only way to know is by DOING

A lesson learned from building a 7 figure entrepreneur community that applies to pretty much every other industry or business:

Sometimes you have to be FAR MORE clear than you can possibly imagine.

The details matter, but you dont really know WHICH details matter until you stress test the thing.

One odd issue that we've ran into is people are having trouble canceling.

Of course we dont WANT them to. The goal is to keep everyone forever and ever, but thats just not the reality. Life happens, things happen and ultimately if you have a business that is built for EVERYONE, it's going to attract NO ONE.

Over time you get to dial in who that perfect person is and in the process, people come and go. Thats ok.

But back to the weird issue.

The cancellation process isnt complicated. its LITERALLY just entering your email there and hitting the button.

But then why do so many people have trouble with it?

Here's what happens:

  1. They realize its not for them or whatever the reason and they go to cancel

  2. They enter an email in there

  3. They leave the page thinking its all good

  4. They get charged again and send me a nasty message

So what happened??

Well, they entered the WRONG email.

In order to cancel, you need to use the same email you PAID with.

People have multiple emails and pick one at random... and that doesnt work even though they think it does.

This is the simple and obvious solution that we should've had from the beginning:

"Enter the email address you used when you paid for your membership (this may be different from your Slack or Skool email)."

The only way we know to add that is because we've had the experience to tell us that.

Will this solve it for everyone? No. Most might not even read that OR they totally forget the email... but it should help reduce SOME of the issues.

You don'cancel subs t know until you know and the only way to know is by DOING.
