Instagram started as an app called “Burbn” , a nightlife check in / posting app.
$500k had already been raised to develop the app, but it was cluttery. A lot of feature creep and nothing really sticking, except…
The ONE feature users were really enjoying- the ability to post pictures.
They stripped it down and JUST focused on that.
Instagram was born.
The idea here is that you just have to START.
The path you start on might not lead anywhere meaningful,
BUT along the way you’ll find new paths that ultimately take you where you want to end up.
