Your Dreams Aren’t Meant to Stay Caged
The easiest way to NOT achieve your dreams is to keep them hostage and never share them with the world.
I sincerely believe that whatever dream you might have for your life, you should share it.
This doesn’t mean that you have to broadcast it on all your social media channels or get a billboard with your dream printed on it.
But I DO believe that when you begin to share your vision with others, not only does it become much more of a reality just from you saying it out loud—
but it also opens the door for the dream of OTHERS to align with your dream.
Sharing your dream does two very important things
- It takes it from your inside the locked cage of your head and brings it into the light of day.
It goes from being a secret to a tangible statement. By saying it out loud to someone else, you make it a living breathing pursuit as opposed to a vague, ambiguous idea.
- It allows your dream to connect to the “network”. Think of it like a computer without any internet connection. You can do some stuff with it, but you’re limited. Once you connect that baby to some high speed Wi-Fi, you open your computer up to infinite possibility.
Same applies to your dream. YOU can only go so far. When you share your dream with someone else, even just one other person, you are sharing it with THEIR experience, their network, their connections, their abilities. It’s cliche but “teamwork makes the dream work” holds true in most cases.
All of this is easier said than done. In a lot of cases, we don’t always have clarity with our dreams.
We have ideas and thoughts and fantasies, but we might not have a clear end goal or an idea of how to get there.
Because of this, we decide that we shouldn’t share it.
“It’s not complete.”
“Others won’t understand.”
“I’ll wait until I figure it out”
The truth is though, when you share your dream, those missing pieces will fall into place.
The inspiration of this was 100% from personal experience.
Just the other day I was sharing a vision with a friend of mine and a few days later he messaged me randomly with a follow up to my vision and someone he knew that might be able to help.
You won’t ever find yourself in scenarios like that unless you first unlock the vault and share your dream with the world.
Your dreams weren’t meant to be caged.
